WorldSSP300 team benefit from strong rider line up in 2017

Bolstered by the talent of Marc Garcia, Borja Sanchez and Daniel Valle in the very first FIM Supersport 300 World Championship season, Halcourier Racing were crowned 2017 Team’s World Champions with one race remaining around Magny-Cours.

Spanish rider Garcia is hoping to take the crown as the battle heads to the final round of the season at Circuito de Jerez, and his stunning victory in France was all the team needed to win the title by 72 points, ahead of Yamaha’s SK Racing.

Taking the points from the three riders combined, the team have consistently had at least one rider finish in the top six throughout the eight races of 2017 – Misano was their worst scoring round as they left with 19 points.

Taking six podium finishes this season around MotorLand Aragon, Imola, Donington Park, Lausitzring, Portimao and Magny-Cours,  Halcourier have consistently been racing at the front of the pack throughout the WorldSSP300 season, with both Garcia and Valle taking the top three honours.

Garcia has been the biggest contributor to the team, as he has secured a total of 126 points throughout the season following five podiums – two of those victories. Valle has added an additional 65 points as the young Spanish rider struggled mid-way through the season, whilst Sanchez has been a regular top six finisher with 48 points.

Seemingly the key for the 2017 season, consistency has allowed them to take the honours as they now set their sights on Garcia’s hunt for the title, which he leads by four points ahead of the final round of the season.
